i was lucky to be a part of this project. jason had asked me if i could make him a video showing his girlfriend, carol, how much he loved her. how could i pass this up? we sat down in a cafe one night, brainstorming and came up with this video. i called my friend dave pak up to see if he was available to shoot with me.
having a long distance relationship for over 4 years is very difficult, but they toughed it out. after filming, we went to K-town to Miss Korea BBQ, food was awesome!
Lickety Split, a place where musicians come and share their talent behind a microphone. i had the pleasure of supporting a friend of mine, Jason Min, again. he always seems to amaze me with his talent, using his guitar, pedals and voice. The venue is dark, small and the red spot lights dont help at all. i was deciding which camera to take to the show but decided to take my 5dmk1 and 50 f1.4
after uploading my first video of last nights performance, i was pretty impressed with the mic. i stayed up until 2:30am to edit these videos. i still have to mess around with some settings on it, but the sound quality is pretty nice! you can check out a short clip i shot last night using a Canon 7D 24-70L and the Rode stereo/video mic.
